Acura - the separate division of Japanese car maker Honda releasing premium class cars. Acura became the first Japanese a premium brand which completed in the market of the USA to the European producers on equal terms. Innovative engineering development, a high level of quality and a hardware, and the maximum satisfaction of needs of clients became the main advantages of new cars.
Japanese, apparently, have all lines of mythical descendants of a bird Phoenix. Having risen from Herosima's ashes after World War II and nuclear bombardment of Nagasaki, island inhabitants in the dense were engaged in full-scale internal and external process of reconstruction which brought them further to one of the leading positions in the international automobile market. 1986 I was year when Japanese engineers created division of Acura.
Early models of Acura vehicles quickly seized the American market of cars and them already could stop nothing on the way to a victory. Acura was born as the rich child of the senior brand of the father of Honda and quickly became a driving force which changed the relation of buyers to the Asian market of cars.
To 1996 Legend and Integra brands were replaced with avaricious alphanumeric names which in turn will lead all to full confusion. The subsequent technical changes and a fake of design of Lexus shipped Acura in temporary banality, despite its upgraded powerful engine more than 200 h.p.
Only at the beginning of 21 centuries of Acura from scratch I redesigned model of 1992 3.2 TL, conceived as the competitor of such cars as Lexus ES, Infiniti l30 and BMW and by that received a fair share of popularity. Acura 3.2 TL earned a lot of recognition because of consumer appeal which became result of balanced mix of the magnificent, sports car and competitive pricing.
Acura was succeeded to get into minds of Americans and to achieve recognition thanks to the cars best at that time: a sedan of Legend V6 and Integra, it everything that they had at that time in an arsenal. Despite its early success, in the middle of the 90th Acura looked very poorly because of design, weak to those measures, and refusal "to rejuvenate" already existing line of models.
Some years of Acura later I entered the market with the new SUV MDX. Actually, Acura conducts full-scale merger of the automobile market now, removing more and more the new cars.
