Bretislav Novotny, the famous Czech engineer, after the First World War started to let out the cars, to the first among which was the double Disk equipped with an one-cylinder two-stroke engine and a friction gear. One of these cars, made in 1922, still is stored (the truth already in the disassembled condition) in the Lomakovsky museum of ancient cars and motorcycles.

After a while the engineer of Novotny developed other model – Enka equipped with the 1-cylinder duple unit in volume in 0,5 litres and capacity in 10 horsepowers with a diameter of the cylinder of 85 mm and a piston stroke of 88 mm. In 1929 this model began to be produced in lots at the Prague aircraft factory thanks to what received the name Aero.

Minimum completed, smallest car of the Czech Republic was started by means of the clockwork handle which was near a driver's place and was connected with a pulley on cranked to an engine shaft by means of a cable. The first Aero car possessed the back leading bridge with a case from light metal, suspension brackets on halves of usual springs and drum-type brakes only on back wheels. The model was issued on a welded frame from box-shaped longerons. The maximum speed reached 80 kilometres per hour. Nevertheless, Aero was rather strong car and had incomparable advantage before others – low cost.

BOHUMIL TUREK before opening of the next Parisian motor show made run on the Aero car. Prague – Brest – Prague – Hamburg – Prague it passed a route for 184 hours of 35 minutes, thus average speed of run made 26,6 kilometres per hour.

The following model of the auto company Aero was equipped with already two-cylinder engine in volume 0,66 litres. This car deserved considerable popularity. The subsequent four-seater car became more powerful. It also was equipped with the two-cylinder engine, but volume already about 1 litre and a forward drive.

Aero-50 became the latest model which has been let out before the beginning of the Second World War. The car differed a forward drive, being the equipped four-cylinder two-stroke engine in volume about 2 litres.

Outwardly Aero cars were rather simple, with an open body and the minimum complete set. Only post-war models had the closed body of an aerodynamic form.

Despite military years of World War II difficult for all, the Aero company could renew the production. Minor – also small two-doors sedan with a two-cylinder two-stroke engine in volume 0,615 litres became the first car after war. The Minor model was issued some years after war, but then it was laid off because of more perfect development of competitor companies. On it the company history also ended.
