Dacia can call the car, almost ideal for the drivers who are looking for thrills. Lack of quality of safety which was peculiar to any other car, turned vintage model 1300 into the extremely dangerous. In an ideal, brave the devil would grab at the chance to sweep on old Dacia, but model 1300 didn't become popular among racing enthusiasts.
Nevertheless, model 1300 represents only the head in the small history Dacia. Dacia is the Romanian producer of cars who wasn't comprehended, fortunately, by the same fate as Aro, other car of the Romanian brand. Now, being part of Renault group, Dacia has very recent history, its sources are traced since 1968 when the first plant in Colibasi, near Pitesti, the district of Arges was open.
Its first model range included quite strong, but esthetically repellent Dacia 1300 models, as well as some others which actually were slightly changed 1300, such as 1310,1400 and 1410. Despite the name Dacia, the car I wasn't completely Romanian, being result of the transaction with Renault which provided tools and technology.
Actually the first Dacia models were in many respects based on the Renault 12 model. Cars which descended from the conveyor of Colibasi plant, were available and reliable, interchangeability of details was their big advantage. Dacia weren't Cadillacs, but they were constructed in such a way that they could be collected at themselves in a drawing room, during cleaning or viewing of DVD about introduction to neurosurgery.
Surprisingly even for the average patriot of Romania, many Dacia cars were renamed and exported. Under the name of Denem, these excellent models were result of selective mechanical engineering, having the separate assembly line where they were carefully welded and twisted by bolts.
As soon as this information filtered, many Romanians went to Hungary to buy them to Dacia. Due to compulsory communist regime which didn't approve novelty, Dacia kept the same body about 35 years, as a result having become extremely outdated.
Besides, communication between Dacia and Renault stopped. Fortunately, in 1996 it urged the Romanian producers to start the first model which is completely constructed in Romania - Nova, with the sports remade body which made model of smoother in comparison with her predecessors.
In 1999 Dacia and Renault stopped war and again united. Some improvements followed, and Dacia noticed growth of sales. Encouraged by favorable responses, Dacia let out replacement for Nova in 2000 - Supernova. This model was just the same externally, as Nova that pointed to bad skills of masking which had to be undertaken before its release.1 - 50 | 51 - 54
