In spite of the fact that Feruchchio Lamborghini, the founder of the brand of the same name of a car, was engaged in production of tractors earlier, year of establishment of the company is considered 1963. In October of this year on a motor show in Turin the fan of high speeds Feruchchio presented the first model – Lamborghini 350 GT which possessed the most powerful 347-strong 3,5-liter 12-cylinder engine capable to provide the maximum speed in 280 km/h. To say that this car was in special demand, it is impossible. Just the opposite – many fans of speed who already got used to absolutely other cars of a sports class didn't accept new development and it was succeeded to sell for all 1964 only 13 copies.
However the founding father of the company didn't despair at all, and in 1965 presented to Lamborghini Miura public. This prototype was much more popular – first of all, thanks to absolutely unusual appearance over which the design bureau had to work properly. The relative success forced Feruchchio to work further therefore the whole 70th years of the past century passed under the sign of "little body" (a logo of the company which was born in connection with zodiac accessory of Feruchchio Lamborghini).
In 1970 the first Jarama 400 GT was published. Then also the Lamborghini Urraco P250 car equipped with the 2,5-liter 8-cylinder engine was presented, and next year on a motor show in Geneva the Countach model which subjected the Italian public in the most real shock debuted. The 4-liter engine installed on this car which power exceeded an indicator in 350 "horses", helped the driver to accelerate to 300 km/h.
During the same period of time development of a "family" car of Espada whom it is possible to call the champion of a family of Lamborghini were conducted. Release only of this model exceeded 1000 copies, an indicator unprecedented hitherto for the company. It is also possible to note a double compartment of Lamborghini Silhouette of a sample of the 76th year. The 250 horsepowers motor helped to accelerate to "silhouette" to 260 km/h, gathering thus speed in 100 km/h only in 7 seconds. And in 1978 release of cars of the Lamborghini Countach series began. It was revolution for the company. Still, after all the model of this Countach 5000 QV series most known today possessed the engine which power exceeded 450 "horses".
The 80th years of the XX century were also marked by domination of Lamborghini. At first the LM001 model was presented, then was published 255-strong Jalpa then the company returned to completion of Countach properties. So the Countach LP500S model of a sample of 1982 received the 375 h.p. 5-liter engine.
The 1990th year became triumphal for the company founded by Feruchchio Lamborghini. Then the world famous Lamborghini Diablo model gathering speed in 320 km/h was presented. This car became the fastest at that time around the world, having got monasteries of the winner of the whole mass of exhibition arrivals which were carried out in the territory of Europe. In the next some years the set of modifications of "Devil" therefore the car became one of the bought most up sport cars around the world was executed. It should be noted that among all these models Lamborghini Diablo Roadster SV was recognized as the most popular.
Lamborghini Diablo became the last development of the great engineer and designer, fan of high speeds Feruchchio Lamborghini. On February 20, 1993 he suddenly died, however, his followers continued work on "Diablo". In 1995 there were two modifications – Diablo SV and Diablo SVR, and in 1997 at the next European motor show the Diablo VT model was presented.
Up to 2000 the most active work on additional Diablo versions was continued. So the Diablo SV model (Sport Veloce) shown on the Geneva motor show, equipped with the 525-strong engine and dispersing to 100 km/h in 3,8 seconds debuted in 1996, and in a year designers of the company could bring the engine capacity of the same car to an indicator in 530 horsepowers.
The beginning of a new eyelid was marked by the same new development. To the world there was a Lamborghini Murcielago model which differed in special ergonomic indicators and roominess. Besides, the car at once broke the whole mass of the records set by the company before. This machine equipped with the 6,2-liter 580-strong V12 unit was capable to accelerate to "one hundred" in 3,5 seconds, and its maximum speed exceeded 330 km/h.
The Concept S car presented in 2005, apparently, will become the most real world symbol of sports automotive industry, but in 2007 Feruchchio Lamborghini's company simply surprised the whole world. Designers presented absolutely new conceptual sports car under the name Lamborghini Alar 777. First, when designing this car the latest technologies were applied, its design significantly differs from design of the previous models, and at all it is possible to call technical characteristics transcendental. Alar 777 equipped with the 700-strong 12-cylinder V12B engine is capable to disperse to 360 km/h, and 100 km/h are reached for incomplete 3 seconds.
